Custom Crafted Homes has been Cape Cod’s family-owned home builder since 1974. A family on Cape Cod for three generations — building custom homes here since 1974, now in the second generation of builders. We don’t sell floor plans out of a catalog. We build the house you’ve been describing — with the materials, the trades, and the attention to detail it takes to make a home worth fifty years.

What “custom” actually means here

Every project we take on is collaborative from day one. You come to us with a vision (a sketch, a Pinterest board, a stack of magazine pages, or just a feeling). We help translate that into something buildable on your lot, on your budget, and in our climate. If you already have an architect, we partner with them directly. If you don’t, we’ll introduce you to architects on the Cape whose work fits your aesthetic.

From there, every choice is yours — but every choice gets the benefit of our experience. Which way the master should face for morning light. Which trim profile reads “Cape” without feeling forced. Which window manufacturer’s warranty actually holds up against salt air. Which builders in the area we’d trust with our own homes (and which we wouldn’t).

  1. Discovery — we meet at your lot or our shop. No pressure, no commitment. We listen to what you want and tell you honestly what’s feasible.
  2. Design collaboration — working with your architect (or one we introduce you to), we refine plans until both the design and the build budget align.
  3. Pre-construction — permitting (we handle it), scheduling, vendor selection, and a transparent cost breakdown with no surprises.
  4. Build — weekly site walks, photo updates, and a dedicated project lead from foundation to final walkthrough.
  5. Aftercare — we stay reachable after you move in. Most of our clients call us back ten years later for the next project.

Many custom builds eventually become the launchpad for a future home addition or whole-property project, which is why our general contracting team stays in your corner long after the keys change hands.
