Accessibility Statement

Effective: 2026-05-13 — Last updated: 2026-05-13

Custom Crafted Homes is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We believe everyone should be able to learn about our work, contact us, and access information about our services — without barriers.

Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.

What we’ve built into the site

Our website is designed and built to include the following accessibility features:

  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) can be reached and operated using only a keyboard
  • Visible focus indicators — when navigating by keyboard, the currently-focused element is clearly highlighted
  • Alternative text for meaningful images, so screen reader users can understand visual content
  • Semantic HTML structure — proper headings, landmarks, and lists, so assistive technologies can navigate the page accurately
  • Color contrast — text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast minimums
  • Resizable text — the site supports browser text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Form labels — every form field has an associated label, making forms usable with screen readers
  • Plain language — we aim for clear, straightforward writing throughout the site
  • Captioned media — any video content on the site includes captions or transcripts

Known limitations

We’re not perfect yet. The following are known issues we’re working on:

  • Some older photo galleries may not yet have full alt-text descriptions for every image
  • Some PDF documents we link to (older marketing materials) may not yet meet full WCAG conformance — we’re working to remediate these or replace them with accessible alternatives

If you encounter any issue not listed here, please let us know.

Ongoing improvements

We treat accessibility as an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. As our site evolves, we test changes against accessibility standards before publishing. We also welcome feedback from visitors — your reports help us identify issues we may not see ourselves.

If you have suggestions for how we can improve, we want to hear them.

Formal complaints

If you have a concern about the accessibility of our site that we have not addressed to your satisfaction, you may file a complaint with:

  • U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division — for ADA-related concerns
  • Your state attorney general — for state-level accessibility complaints

But please reach out to us first — we want to resolve issues directly whenever we can.
