Building in Dennis Port, MA

Beachfront rebuilds, cottage-to-year-round conversions, and renovations on the Nantucket Sound shore — by the family that’s built on this coast for fifty years.

Dennis Port is one of the five villages of Dennis — and Dennis has been our hometown since 1974.

Our studio is just up the road at 667 Main Street #3-30 in Dennis Village. We know the south-side neighborhoods between Lower County Road and the Nantucket Sound beaches the way only a builder whose family is third-generation on Cape Cod and second-generation building here can. If you own a place in Dennis Port — or you’re buying one to make your own — you’re talking to your closest custom builder.

A different kind of build

Cottage conversions

The most common Dennis Port project right now — small seasonal cottages rebuilt or replaced with insulated, code-current, four-season homes.

Beachfront rebuilds

Aging cottages on irreplaceable shorefront lots, taken down and rebuilt to modern flood, energy, and septic standards.

Tight-lot custom homes

Getting the most home out of a compact Dennis Port parcel without losing the scale of the neighborhood.

A project we’re building now

Beachfront rebuild on Nantucket Sound

This summer we began one of the most quintessential Dennis Port projects there is: taking down a tired seasonal cottage on a beachfront lot to make room for a new, year-round custom home. It starts with the part nobody photographs — demolition and sitework. Our site crew took the old structure down to the lot, protected the beach with silt fencing, and prepped the ground for new foundation, drainage, and septic work, coordinating around tides, conservation setbacks, and neighbors on every side.

Permits, conservation & septic

Dennis Port falls under the Town of Dennis building department, conservation commission, and board of health. Shorefront and near-shore lots almost always trigger wetlands and conservation review, FEMA flood-zone construction standards, and Title 5 septic upgrades. We’ve been pulling permits in this town for 50 years — and we manage that whole process so you don’t have to.

Towns and villages near Dennis Port we also serve: Dennis, Harwich, and Yarmouth. See the full list on our contact page.
